Missing Code output of Tool Activation or Deactivation

Missing Code output of Tool Activation or Deactivation

Mastercam VersionAny Version
Robotmaster VersionV6 version

Problem

Sometimes even if the global settings for tool activation/deactivation are properly set, problems can be seen when dealing with the code output of tool activation/deactivation macros.

This problem often appears as:

  1. Tool activation macro is output, but the tool deactivation is missing from the code.
  2. The first instance of the tool activation macro is output, but all subsequent activation macros are missing.

Solution

Uncheck Mastercam option of Rapid Retract under tool tab.

The procedure to fix the above problem is:
  1. Open Mastercam toolpath parameters.
  2. Go to Tool Tab
  3. Uncheck Rapid Retract.
  4. Apply settings.
  5. Regenerate operation.
  6. Synchronize Robotmaster.
  7. Generate program again.

Rapid retract means a rapid retract between paths, so there is no proper activation/deactivation control.
If this option is activated Mastercam cancels the output of information needed for Robotmaster to properly control the process.

Important

We recommend this option to be set as unchecked by default when programming Robotmaster.
