Error | Cause | Troubleshooting |
---|---|---|
Exception raised in calculation routine (It is not possible to calculate a containment curve. The input containment body mesh has no intersection with the machining surface) | The containment body mesh does not intersect with the machining surface |
|
Successful generation but an empty toolpath | The path was generated outside of the containment body mesh |
|
An exception has been raised inside this chook. Most probably, the tool is not supported by the strategy. | The selected tool is not valid for LAM |
|
Exception raised in calculation routine (The containment curves are overlapping in offset space. This usually happens when an area can not be machined (tool does not fit everywhere) or when the containment curves are too close to each other.)
| Particular layers have failed to generate because they occur in a slice of the containment body mesh containing geometry that LAM “does not like,” to be referred to as problem geometry.
Problem geometry is usually geometry that is not imported properly into Mastercam, such as chamfers or fillets around a complex curve. The more complex the part geometry, the easier it is to run into this error.
| Identify the problem geometry using the following method:
