Problem

When importing an assembly and you get this error:

Failed to import {file name}
Cannot read input file, appears to be an invalid file. Please check if the input file has valid supported data in it

 

Solution 1

The folder path might be too long.

  1. Check the length of the path

  2. Move the folder containing all the parts of the assembly in another location with a shorter folder path

  3. Re-import the assembly
