How to setup a software license OFFLINE (WIBU) ?

When someone wants to setup a new software license offline or host a license offline that was already activated in the past.

License(s) that were re-hosted, meaning, uploaded/given back to Wibu Systems, so that they can be hosted, meaning, transferred to other local PC(s), can follow this guide. It will explain how to host an already activated license (assuming that it was correctly re-hosted if needed).

Step-by-step guide

     1. You should receive an email from codes@robotmaster.com that will contain the following information:

         

     2. Click on the Activation Link (shown in blue) and the following webpage will be displayed:

         
     3. By inputting your ticket id (shown in red) and clicking “Next” you will be directed to this page. The license is considered new if it was never activated on any computer.
          a. The CodeMeter Control Center application on your PC will not contain the new CmContainer Serial Id. It might contain others, like in the case below, which is fine. Click on "Activate Licenses". 

          

     4. Click on "Offline license transfer"

         

     5. When performing any type of licensing task offline, you will be face with 3 major steps: (1) uploading the request, (2) downloading the update and (3) uploading the receipt. 

     6. First, we have to Upload Request. The instruction are shown below.

         

          a. Download the template from the instruction above if you don't have the CmContainer Serial Id in CodeMeter. Make sure that .WBB template file is not blocekd by Windows. In other words, if you never activated or hosted the license on the current PC, you can then simply drag and drop the template in CodeMeter Control Center.

          b. Click on "License Update" and then on "Create license request"

              

          c. Save the file somewhere on your PC by clicking on "Commit"

             

         d. Upload the license request file that was just saved and click on "Upload Request And Continue Now"

             

7. Second, we have to Download Update. The instruction are shown below.

    

         a. Click on "Download License Update File Now"

         b. Go back to CodeMeter Control Center and click on License Update.

         c. Select "Import license update"

           

         d. Make sure to upload the downloaded file update.WibuCmRaU and "Commit". At this point, the license should be activated.

                 

8. Finally, we have to Upload Receipt. The instruction are shown below.

    

         b. Go back to CodeMeter Control Center and click on License Update.

         c. Select "Create receipt" and save the file somewhere on your PC.

           

         d. Upload the receipt file that was just saved and click on "Upload Receipt Now"

            

9. Done
