How-to change the maximum feed rate in Mastercam

You are trying to set your feed rate in Mastercam and the following prompt pops-up:

The reason why you are getting this message might be because you are defining a feed rate greater than the maximum one allowed by your Mastercam machine definition. 

There are 2 ways to solve this issue, permanently, or only for a single session

Step-by-step guide

How to change Feed Rate Permanently (Including subsequent sessions):


  1. Go to the Machine Tab and select Machine Definition



  2. Click on the Green Check Mark

         


      3. Click on the Edit General Machine Definition Parameters icon

         


      4. Set your feed rate limits as desired:

         


How to change Feed Rate for a single session:


  1. After selecting your Machine (Robot Brand), in the Toolpath Manager, Click on Files

         


      2. Click on Edit

         


      3. Click on the Edit General Machine Definition Parameters icon

         


      4. Set your feed rate limits as desired:
