How-to back-up my Robotmaster V6 files

The following steps will be needed in a situation where you need to back-up your Robotmaster files (when you update you Robotmaster version for instance) such as your:

  • robot setups

  • tool setups

  • post-processors

  • process definitions

Step-by-step guide

All the information related to the items listed above are stored in your shared folder located in: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Mastercam ***your version***\Robotmaster_V6

  1. If you are using a FANUC, COMAU, DENSO, EPSON, KAWASAKI, OTC DAHIEN, NACHI, GSK, HYUNDAI, MITSUBISHI, REIS, or STEP robot brand, create a copy of the Fanuc and Tools folders:

If you are using an ABB, KUKA, MOTOMAN, or STAUBLI robot brand, create a copy of the folder that has the name of your robot brand and the Tools folder

  2. Save the copy of the two folder in a safe place

  3. If you need to import these files (for instance after a Robotmaster upgrade or when you want to set up a new computer with Robotmaster), you just need to merge the 2 backed-up folders back into C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Mastercam ***your new version***\Robotmaster_V6
