How to properly migrate a software license (WIBU) on virtual machine
Support for Virtual Machines using Codemeter Control Center
Robotmaster’s Codemeter software licenses supports the installation on a virtual machine
The Codemeter software has 5 checks that it uses to assess the hardware of the server that it is installed.
If after a reboot of the system, Codemeter finds that hardware doesn’t meet its checks then the license becomes invalidated (Activation Invalid): "Activation invalid" in CodeMeter Control Center (WIBU)
You cannot move a Virtual Machine between VM Hosts without first rehosting the license.
You cannot upgrade the hardware of the VM Host without first rehosting the license.
