Managing the Robotmaster Software License with Robotmaster License Expert

Please take note of the below system requirements for Robotmaster License Expert.

  • Recommended Hardware Requirements: Windows 11 (64-bit)

  • Minimum Hardware Requirements: Windows 10, version 1709 (64-bit)

  • System Requirements for Virtual Machines (VMs): Windows Server 2019 LTSC or Later

Managing the license with Internet access

The License Expert only allows the user to activate one (1) activation code per computer. After the initial activation, it keeps the activation code in the field for future activation/deactivation.

For customers with activated licenses, when the License Expert is installed, it will detect the license on the computer after the installation. Simply click the Download and activate your license to sync the license with Robotmaster License Expert.

If the activation, deactivation, or update process is unsuccessful, the message in the pop-up window will notify the user.

Activating the license

  1. Open the Start menu on the computer.

  2. Launch Robotmaster License Expert.

  3. In the My licenses tab, locate the Robotmaster 7 - 2024 section and enter the activation code in the Ticket number field.

  4. Click the Download and activate your license button.

  5. During the activation process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once the activation is successfully completed, click Close to exit the window.

Deactivating the license

  1. Open the Start menu on the computer.

  2. Launch Robotmaster License Expert.

  3. In the My licenses tab, locate the Robotmaster 7 - 2024 section, click the Return your license button.

  4. During the deactivation process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once the deactivation is completed successfully, click Close to exit the window.

Updating the license

  1. Open the Start menu on the computer.

  2. Launch Robotmaster License Expert.

  3. In the My licenses tab, under the Robotmaster 7 - 2024 section, click the Update your license button.

  4. During the update process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once it is successfully complete, click Close to exit the window.

NOTE: The basic license details will be updated in the Robotmaster 7 - 2024 section.

Accessing the Network license

Step 1: On the server computer, activate the Robotmaster license.

To activate the license on the server, install the CodeMeter Control Center. This is the licensing application that comes pre-installed with Robotmaster. On the server, it can be installed separately on its own without Robotmaster.

Step 2: On the client computer,

  1. Open the Start menu on the computer.

  2. Launch Robotmaster License Expert.

  3. In the Network settings tab, enter the server’s name or IP address in the field and click the add button (+)

Once the server is connected, the network license will be accessible, and Robotmaster should start.

Updates for Network licenses should be applied directly on the server computer using the update your license feature in the My Licenses tab as outlined above under the section Updating the license.

Managing the license without internet access

The License Expert does not support offline activation. When internet access is not available, please follow the instructions outlined in the https://robotmaster.atlassian.net/wiki/x/H4A0jgI article.

Restoring the license

The License Expert does not offer support for license restoration. If a license needs to be restored, please refer to the instructions provided in the article titled https://robotmaster.atlassian.net/wiki/x/IAA-jgI.
