Managing the Robotmaster Software License without Robotmaster License Expert
This process should be used only when the end-user’s computer is not compatible with Robotmaster License Expert.
Managing the license with Internet access
Activating the license
Navigate to the WIBU activation link: http://lc.codemeter.com/77357/depot/overview.php.
Copy and paste the ticket ID, then click Next.
In the following screen, select Activate Licenses.
On the subsequent screen, click Activate Selected Licenses Now.
During the activation process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once the activation is successfully completed, click OK.
Deactivating the license
Navigate to the WIBU activation link on the computer where the license is installed: http://lc.codemeter.com/77357/depot/overview.php.
Select Re-Host Licenses.
On the following screen, click Deactivate Selected Licenses Now.
During the deactivation process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once the deactivation is successfully completed, click OK.
Updating the license
Navigate to the WIBU auto update page on the computer where the license is installed: http://lc.codemeter.com/77357/depot/autoUpdate.php.
Click on Check License Update.
On the following screen, select Transfer License Updates Now.
During the update process, a window will appear to show the progress. Once the update is successfully completed, click OK.
Restoring the license
Note: Licenses can only be restored on the computer where it was originally installed as long as there were no changes to the computer.
When a license is installed, it is encrypted with the fingerprint of the hosting PC. The fingerprint is used by WIBU to verify if a license is installed on the same or different PC.
The restore allows License Central to assess by how much the PC changed and recreate the fingerprint on the license to restore the license.
If the PC is recognized as a different PC, it CANNOT be restored. please reach out to the Reseller for assistance.

Copy and paste the ticket ID, then click Next.
A license cannot be restored if the original CmContainer is still on the PC. If there is a notification that the CmContainer is still on the PC, please reach out to the Reseller for assistance.
If restoration is possible, the option to Restore Licenses will appear on the screen. To initiate the restoration process, click Restore Licenses.
On the following screen, check the box to accept the conditions for CmContainer restoration, and then click Restore CmContainer Now.
During the restoration, a window will pop up to display the progress. Once the restoration is successfully completed, click OK.
Accessing the Network license
Step 1: Install and configure the license on the Server computer
Start by activating the Robotmaster license by utilizing the WIBU activation link provided in the instructions above.
To activate the license on the server, install the CodeMeter Control Center. This is the licensing application that comes pre-installed with Robotmaster. On the server, it can be installed separately on its own without Robotmaster.
Then, configure the license server
Open the Start menu on the server computer.
Launch the CodeMeter Control Center
Click on the WebAdmin from the bottom right corner
The WebAdmin page will open in the internet browser.
In the Configuration tab, select Server/Server Access
In the Server Access tab, select Enable under Network Server and click on Apply
A notification will begin to blink at the bottom of the page, indicating that the changes will take effect once CodeMeter is restarted.
Open CodeMeter Control Center from the Start menu.
Navigate to the Process tab click on Restart CodeMeter Service to complete the configuration of the license server.
Step 2: Install and configure the end-user computer
For computers that are compatible with the Robotmaster License Expert, please consult the article titled “Managing the Robotmaster software license with the License Expert” to obtain the Network License, ensuring a smooth experience.
For computers that are NOT compatible with the Robotmaster License Expert, kindly adhere to the manual procedure detailed below.
Manual procedure to configure the end-user computer to access the Network license:
After installing the software on the local PC,
Launch the CodeMeter Control Center, the licensing application that comes pre-installed with Robotmaster. CodeMeter can be easily located in the Windows Start menu.
Click on WebAdmin from the bottom right corner.
The Web Admin page will open in the internet browser.
In the Configuration tab, select Basic then Server Search List.
In the Server Search List, click on Add New Server.
Enter the server's name or the IP address of the license server in the input box, then click on Add.
Click on Apply.
A message will appear to confirm whether the operation was successful.
Managing the license without internet access
