Plasma Cutting
Documentation on improvements in Plasma parameters - new!
Several plasma cutting improvements were deployed in the 2024.3 release.
Kerf correction:
Enables users to adjust the size of a hole by modifying the offset of the plasma beam.Improvements to chaining:
Open wireframe chains now supported for window chaining.Manual override of plasma algorithm:
Select faces in case the algorithm fails and refresh selection.Enhanced warning messages:
Several new messages to guide the user when projection fails.

Enhancements / Fixed Bugs
RM-849 As a user, I wish to window-select curves for Curve Path creation for plasma marking and automatically manage both closed contour and open contour types
RM-851 Enable kerf correction to compensate the path without affecting the generated tool diameter
RM-852 Make the manual touch direction reference frame visible so that the user can understand the touch direction reference being used
RM-853 As a user, I want to be notified when the path projection fails and why it failed
RM-872 Wrong default value in Plasma Cutting blocks user from resetting defaults to original values
RM-848 Wrong projection when using Curve Path if the curve is directly located over the surface
RM-850 Negative path offset leads to path projection issues with incorrect projection depth
RM-854 Improve algorithm to find holes on certain dome types
