Edge Path

This function creates a trajectory along the edge of a CAD.

Tool orientation:

• Bisector: The tool vector (red line) cuts the angle between the surfaces into two equal parts.

Open

• Perpendicular: The tool vector (red line) is perpendicular to either surfaces.

Open

• Tangential: The tool vector (red line) is tangential to either surfaces.

Auto join:

• Disabled: Will not join base paths together.

• Always: Will join any toolpath sharing a start/end point.

• If same tool vector: Will join any toolpath sharing a start/end tool vector.

Chain tangent edges:

• If selected, it will check the tangencies of adjacent surfaces with a tolerance of ±25° and try to propagate the base path.

Flip vectors:

• If checked: Tool vectors will rotate by 180°.
