With operations assigned on the device side, the Calculate action will fully calculate operations, including point list and time estimates.

  1. Open or create a new part programming session.

  2. Ensure a device is loaded.

  3. Ensure at least one operation is assigned to a program.

View calculation status

Operations that are not calculated are indicated with light gray buttons in the Operations panel on the device side.

Calculate all programs

  1. On the device side, make sure that the focus is on all programs. The crosshairs ( image-20241205-165021.png ) will be displayed at the cell level.

  2. Click Calculate.

Calculate a specific program

If your session has multiple programs, you can use device focus modes to calculate operations in a specific program only.

  1. Select the crosshairs ( image-20241205-165021.png ) next to the program you want to calculate.

  2. Click Calculate.

Alternatively, you can use the program Calculate button to calculate a specific program.

With this approach, only active focus items in the program will be calculated.

Calculate a specific robot

For multi-robot devices, you can set the focus mode to a specific robot to calculate only operations for that robot.

  1. Select the crosshairs ( image-20241205-165021.png ) next to the robot you want to calculate.

  2. Click Calculate.

Single operations can be calculated in operation focus mode. See Operation Settings in Operation for more information.

Calculate options

Several options are available to control what to include when Calculate is performed.

Calculate with collision

When cleared, collision and interference checking will not be included when Calculate is performed.

Calculate with graphical transition

When cleared, graphical transitions will not be included when Calculate is performed.

Calculate with processor

When cleared, the processor will not be included when Calculate is performed.

Automatic calculation

In Robotmaster options (main menu > Options > General), you can set options for performing calculations automatically. See Options for more information.
