Entry / exit
These properties apply to both entry and exit.
Enter / exit at midpoint
On a closed path, this moves the entry / exit point to the midpoint of the path’s first segment.
Closed loop overlap
On a closed path, this extends the start and end of the path to cause an overlap. Only positive values are permitted.
Use entry parameters for exit
Uses entry values as the exit parameters. The Exit option must also be enabled to use this option.
Entry and exit parameters
Type
Defines entry or exit geometry.
Perpendicular line
Entry will be a line perpendicular to the adjacent segment in the base toolpath. For linear leads on arc entities, this will be the line perpendicular to the tangent line of the arc.
For linear leads, the angle of a lead-in is defined with respect to the first motion after the lead. A 0° lead-in will lead straight into the first cut. Positive lead-in angles are defined clockwise from the 0° position, so a 90° lead-in will cause a sharp left-turn into the first cut. Lead-out angles are defined in a similar fashion with a 0° lead-out extending straight out of the last cut. Positive lead-out angles are defined counter-clockwise from the 0° position, so a 90° lead-out will cause a sharp left-turn out of the last cut.For arc leads, angle defines the distance the lead will extend around a circle. A 90° lead would extend one quarter of the way around, whereas a 180° lead would extend half way around, forming a semicircle.
Tangent line
Entry will be a line tangent to the next entity on the path. Useful in cases where lead-in is on a convex profile. Also good for exteriors?(show tangent on straight entry or exit, show tangent on exterior lead)
Arc
Entry will be an arc motion, tangent to the . Use Arc radius and Arc sweep angle to control size of the lead-in.

Side
Entry and exit motions can be placed on the right or left side of a path. You can use this setting to correct situations where entry or exit motions are placed on the wrong side of a path.
Height / ramp
Create an incline on an entry or exit motion. Ramp height is the offset distance from the original start point of the entry or exit, along the approach vector.
Ramp height can also be used with Arc entry or exit paths.
This option is not recommended for plasma cutting.
Additional angle
Only available for linear entry / exit types (Perpendicular or Tangent). This adjusts the entry or exit path by a specified angle.
Arc radius
For Arc entry or exit paths, this is the radius of the arc. Use this to control the size of the entry or exit.
Arc sweep angle
For arc entry or exit paths, this is the angular distance the arc sweeps from the connecting point on the tool path.
Line length
Used with linear entry or exit, defines length in mm of entry or exit motion. Negative values are not permitted.
Extend / shorten path
Undertravel or Overtravel. Use a negative value for undertravel, to shorten the length of the path by some distance. Enter a positive value
Leave at zero to keep original path with no shortening or extending.
Normalize direction
When enabled, the vector of approach will be perpendicular to the healed surface geometry, at the start of the entry. This will ensure that the pierce occurs with the torch perpendicular to the workpiece. After piercing, the vector gradually transitions to the cut path vector, as defined with Fanning distance.
When cleared, the vector of approach will be parallel to the cut path vector.
This option is available for plasma cutting only.
Fanning distance
When the Normalize direction option is enabled, Fanning distance controls the distance of the transition from the initial pierce vector to the cut path vector.

Set this to Automatic to transition gradually along the entire length of the entry or exit.
This option is available for plasma cutting only.
Use the Apply button as you edit leads to see changes.
