If It may be the case that your program name is too long, contains illegal characters, or if you want would like to to split your program into different files The current program name being used, can be viewed within each operation (see screenshot)files. It is also common to get an error in Robotmaster when you try to Generate Program that looks like this.

This is caused by the NC File name of the operation within Mastercam. The current NC file/program name for an operation can be viewed at the bottom of each operation or toolpath within the Toolpath Manager.

Renaming the NC File

  1. Right click on an operation in Mastercam

  2. Click Edit selected operations

  3. Click Change NC file name...

  4. Define a program name for all the operationsoperation(s). (Make sure it does not contain spaces or non alphanumeric characters)

  5. In Robotmaster, click on Synchronize

It is possible to change the NC file name of multiple operations in Mastercam by CTRL + Clicking or SHIFT + Clicking multiple operations and then selecting Change NC file name
