When someone wants to setup a new software license offline or host a license offline that was already activated in the past.

Licenses that were re-hosted, meaning, uploaded/given back to Wibu Systems, so that it can be hosted, meaning, transferred to another local PC, can follow this guide which will explain how to host an already activated license.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click on the codemeter URL link that was sent to you. Make sure to save this link somewhere. You will always need this link to either activate (new license), deactivate (re-host license) or transfer (re-host + host license) the license.
  2. The license is considered new if it was never activated on any computer.
    1. The CodeMeter Control Center application on your PC will not contain the new CmContainer Serial Id. It might contain others, like in the case below, which is fine. Click on "Activate Licenses".
