The deposition module within Robotmaster V6 is useful for applications such as welding and additive manufacturing (e.g. Wire arc additive manufacturing [WAAM], concrete printing). It simulates the deposition of material onto a part or buildup of material relative to the TCP of the end of arm tooling.

Material Deposition settings are ‘global’ and are applied to all operations.
Basic Controls
The icon for Material Deposition can be found in the far right corner of the upper ribbon in Robotmaster V6, next to 3D PDF.
...
This is the shape of the simulated material.
Round - The material will be appear as a circular shape and will always appear ‘full’ or solid.
Square - The material will appear as a square shape.
Note |
---|
If Material Shape is set to Square, material deposition is only simulated along the positive or negative X axis of the TCP. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to simulate material deposition between multiple operations by using different tool geometries?
No, material deposition settings are considered ‘global’; they are applied to all operations. The only way to do something like this would be to manually change the material deposition settings between operations and manually play the simulation.
