Spray Tool
Spray tool creation in the tool editor:
Nozzle diameter – Diameter of spray nozzle
Distance to part – Distance between nozzle and part
X pattern value – width of spray pattern in x direction
Y pattern value – width of spray pattern in y direction
Max effective distance – maximum distance from part where spray can effectively be applied
Spray rate – rate of material (paint or other) deposit
Spray color – Color of simulated spray cone and sprayed surfaces
Accumulation target value – Ideal thickness of spray accumulation on part
Spray Module Menu
Simulation Mode
Coverage – Simulates where the spray was deposited on the surface. The color is based off the selected spray color in the spray tool.
Accumulation – Simulates the spray uniformity and thickness on the surface. The color is based off the ideal thickness set in the spray tool.
Occlusion
When activated, occlusion precents prevents the simulated spray from going through bodies. If an obstacle is covering the workpiece surface, that section will not be sprayed.
Simulation Accuracy
Sets the desired simulation accuracy. Sliding the bar fully to the left will give the coarsest and fastest accumulation results. Sliding the bar fully to the right will give the finest results but take much more calculation time.
Show Mesh
Toggles whether the spray mesh is visible. The spray mesh directly effects the spray simulation accuracy.
Triangle Size
The size of the spray mesh triangles (in mm). The smaller the triangle size, the higher the spray simulation accuracy.
Refinement Margin
Defines how far to extend the mesh refinement (in mm) from the spray paths.
Refine Mesh
Applies changes made to Triangle size and Refinement margin
Clear Paint
Removes the visualization of the spray on surfaces. This is useful if you wish to play the robot simulation multiple times, as the paint does not automatically clear when a simulation is restarted.
