When hovering over or clicking this button, a list of files most recently accessed using the Open… button will be displayed. This list includes any files that have been previously opened, or are actively open, using the Open… button. The most recently accessed files will appear at the top of the list. Files that were opened using anything other than the Open… button, or created and saved but not reopened using the Open… button, or opened using anything other than the Open… button, will not be listed.
